The world of wind power is growing at a phenomenal pace. The industry has predicted an average growth of 24% for the next five years. The Scenario in India is very bright with respect to wind energy with an annual turnover of approximately USD 500 million in the Renewable Energy industry space. Of the estimated potential of 100,000 MW from RE only about 4500 MW has been exploited to-date. This includes Solar, Wind Energy and other forms of renewable energy. India ranks 4th amongst the wind energy producing countries in the world after Germany, Spain and USA. The estimated potential of 45000 MW at 50 M above the ground well. The central government has set a medium scale goal of electrification of 18,000 remote villages and meeting 10 percent of the country’s power supply through RE by the year 2012. To meet this huge demand we strongly feel that RE can play a major role in supplementing this need. The Government also extends financial assistance through its Nodal agencies like Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) to nurture the growth of RE in India. Also there is, today a clear recognition of the challenge the world faces, such as seen in the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to former US vice-President Al Gore and UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change. Mankind should focus on developing environmentally friendly product. And should strive continually to improve them to meet the global Energy demand. To seek to make each step towards the creation of this similar product and thereby reduce the consumption of the same. With more than 95% of the investing coming from Private sector Winntek Power System recognizes and acknowledges that there is a huge opportunity for it to contribute in its own way for the development of non conventional energy resources in India. Towards this, the company is actively working with all WTG Manufactures in designing and developing WTG controllers and Control Panel. The company has also identified that higher capacity WTG will be the norm of the future and has a separate R & D division working on developing Next Generation Micro Processor based Controllers As part of diversification, the company is also exploring options on partnering with European Solar and other RE manufactures to contribute in its own way. |
